Family camp is quickly approaching! Once again the Jr Webelos are taking the lead and planning this great camping trip for the pack. We are trying something new this year and will be camping at Holiday Trav-L-Park, Virginia Beach off of General Booth Blvd. The park is near the Virginia Beach Aquarium& Marine Science Center, Ocean Breeze Festival Park, and the one and only Virginia Beach Ocean Front!

Park Events: Life’s A Beach Weekend

Brush off the sand & join us for “Beach Fun in the Sun” Enjoy a hayride, golf cart drive-in movie, bingo, DJ playing your favorite tunes & Carolina Beach Music. “Tacky Tourist” Costume Contest. Beach Music Cruise-In at the Oceanfront.

Den leaders are polling the pack for numbers so we can reserve sites. This is one of the best events we put on, you'll have a great deal of fun so carve out the time.

Cost: Booking (and payment) will be for both nights, irrespective if the site will be occupied for only one night. Each site takes 2 tents (i.e. 2 families). $25 total, per family, for both nights. Parking is limited to one car per family.

Details:

Camp Sites: Sites will be allocated to families centrally, by the Pack, and marked by Den name. Each site will be occupied by 2 families.

Parking: Only 2 cars are permitted per camp site (i.e. one for each family). The only authorized overflow parking is at the main parking area. The playground is not an authorized overflow and parking here will be at your own risk.

Arrival and Entry:

Uniforms Scouts should wear Class B uniform for the daytime activity and Class A for the Saturday evening Camp Fire and the Sunday Field Service. No open-toed footwear (e.g. flip flops or sandals) be worn.

Prospective Scouts If you know of any prospective Cub Scouts thinking of joining, please consider inviting them to visit the Pack on the Sat evening. If you are going to do so, please let Scott Swenson and the Cubmaster, Robert Roper know beforehand.
